Scripture, Fellowship, Worship, Prayer, & Evangelism
Many people have an ideal church in mind and never find it. At Hudson Baptist our goal is to be the kind of church that pleases the Lord Jesus Christ, because He is the head of the church. We believe with that as our goal we will be a Biblically balanced church with something for you.
At HBC it all starts and ends with Scripture. We do not follow anything other than the Bible in our walk with God and our walk before others.
Christ Is In Charge
The world is always changing, but Christ remains the Rock of our lives. At HBC we put our faith and confidence in the ever perfect Son of God and follow His teachings.
What To Expect
Expect a warm, genuine greeting from everyday people, who love their neighbors as themselves.
Expect worship that is both modern and fresh, while timeless and classic. Our passion is to honor and glorify God through our music.
Expect preaching that is never meant to just fill time or entertain; but instead is designed in every meeting to be true to the meaning God intended, stimulate growth in the believer, and bring conviction for those in need of salvation. We believe that people are not changed by cunning words of men, but by the power of God through His Word.
Expect an emphasis on the power of prayer. We have prayer meetings available on Sunday, and again on Wednesday.
How To Have Eternal Life
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) To sin is to break God’s rules/laws.
“…without the shedding of blood there is no foriveness.” (Hebrews 9:22) We all need God’s forgiveness to have His eternal life within us.
“That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved’ for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses resulting in salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10) Salvation comes through believing Christ died for us, so that we could give our lives to Him as our Lord.
“I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.” (Luke 13:3) To repent is to turn from sin to Christ.
A Model Prayer For Salvation
“Dear God, I know I am a sinner, and my sins seperate me from you. I know that Christ died to remove my sins and satisfy your wrath. I now repent of my sins and confess Christ as the Lord of my life, and ask You to save my soul through Him. In Jesus’ Name, amen.”
